Starting this week I'll be picking up where I last left off with 5/3/1. Here are the numbers for my upcoming cycle. I had to alter the deadlift numbers a bit because of the usual problem with fitting the weights on the bar.
I already did the first day of OHP and I got 11 reps with 170lbs with one or two left in the tank (165x10 last OHP cycle). I'll be squatting tomorrow, so I'll be back with a vid and write up then.
Just wanted to say thanks for keeping this blog going. It's great motivation for me with beginning cycle 3 week 3 this next week . . . nice to read/see the ups/downs of training and how being consistent no matter the program brings results. Your #'s are ones I aspire to reach one day.

Do you run this lifting 4 days a week?
ReplyDeleteMr. Boyle, Thank you and my pleasure.
ReplyDeletePeter, I've done both the 3 and 4 day split with success. I think I'll be sticking to the 4 day split for now, though.
Dude if you don't go to another gym with thinner plates (and better benches - that particular cybex bench press is awful so props to you for lifting on it) you gotta buy some thin plates.
